The Clown is an animated puppet controlled by Elisabeth Jarret. The Clown was the one who killed Ted Striker while he was trying to rescue the kidnapped Grace Saunders.

Overview

Background

The Clown's origins are unknown, probably being one amongst the other toys in the cellar in Hell's Kitchen. At a point in time, he was brought to life by Elisabeth Jarret, who used him to act as a guardian to keep the kidnapped Grace Saunders at bay. Ted Striker entered the room by the window, ready to take Grace out of there, the puppet quietly approached Ted and then attacked him, choking him to death.

Events of Alone in the Dark 2

When Carnby finally enters the room where Grace was sleeping, the Clown is there, but does not attack. Carnby lures the puppet into the Snake Room full of poisonous snakes with his missing Pompon, clearing the room and eliminating the Clown for good.

Strategy

The clown puppet is immune to all weapons but fortunately he cannot damage the player either. It is necessary to exploit it to be able to distract the snakes in the room adjacent to the bedroom, to do so Carnby must throw the pompon obtained with the doubloon. Once thrown, the puppet will begin to follow him losing all interest in Edward and it will attract the attention of snakes, moving them away from the entrance. The snakes will begin to attack him until he is killed. However, Carnby must be careful where you throw the Pompon, for the snakes will move towards it and become impossible to pick up.
