The Santa Impersonator is an unnamed member of the Flying Dutchman, he is found in the Hell's Kitchen mansion's basement in a drunken stupor near his Santa Claus suit.

Events of Alone in the Dark 2[]

Carnby first encounters the Santa Impersonator in the Shooting Gallery after exploring the nearby Distillery room. By the wall, the pirate is in a drunken stupor. By giving him some whiskey, the drunken pirate disappears. However, the drunk eventually appears again after Carnby defeats T-Bone, and does not hesitate into attacking.

If Carnby attacks him and doesn't hand him the whiskey, the pirate then proceeds to shoot at Carnby with a pistol, but dies permanently.

Strategy[]

Initially he is harmless. However, attacking him or taking his sack near the clothes stand would provoke him into attacking with his gun.

Alternatively if he is given whiskey, he will consume it and will disappear into the floor. But will eventually return after you beat T-Bone, so be ready.

If provoked, it is not recommended to shoot him with any gun, due to its limited resources and the pauses between shots. A good way to defeat him is to use the left and right key punches, especially, backing him against the wall between wall and the cards, so that Carnby can constantly hit him without giving the drunk the opportunity to fire back or to let him reel back which will mean that Carnby needs to get close again.

Appearance[]

This pirate looks like he is wearing undergarment shorts and a singlet. Carnby's first encounter is in Hell's Kitchen, one of the cookies are drunk and wearing pajamas.

Trivia[]

  • Alone in the Dark 3 features a similar character located in Slaughter Gulch, who is named Lefty. He is also harmless and can be defeated by giving him liquor.
  • He is officially named "Santa Claus Impersonator" in the Official Strategy Guide.[1]
