Sprawling Plant

The sprawling plant is a creature of darkness fought by Edward Carnby in Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

This monster seems to be a huge sprawling plant, suddenly emerges from a bed within the West Bedroom of the Morton house, attacking Edward. Its tentacles flapping constantly causing serious damage to anyone who approaches, is able to grasp the prey and throw it away with violence. Despite being totally immune to bullets, it is extremely weak to fire, which consumes it quickly.

Strategy

The plant will attack Carnby when they try to approach the table to the right of the bed of one of the rooms on the first floor. The detective will be grabbed and thrown away, from that moment you need to stay away from the plant because his attacks are only effective at short range. Being immune to conventional weapons must fire at an oil lamp hanging above the bed. Falling, the lamp will flash the bed by burning the plant entirely.

Trivia

-The Sprawling plant is the only creature in the game which is not explained the exact nature.

-The method of killing this creature appears to be a direct reference to the way Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood kill Ezechiel Pregzt in the depths of Derceto.
